Job Description:

The Centre De Regulació Genòmica (Crg) is seeking a highly skilled Stem Cell and Gene Editing Specialist to join our Tissue Engineering Unit. The successful candidate will provide patient-derived organoid (PDO) and mouse and human pluripotent 2D and 3D stem cell differentiation procedures, as well as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stem cell biology and experience in CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing. They will be responsible for setting up specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures upon user request for specific projects.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, decisive, methodological, and have accurate work habits. They will be a good team member and have a strong ability to multi-task and have a service-oriented mentality.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-derived organoid (PDO) and mouse and human pluripotent 2D and 3D stem cell differentiation procedures
  • Execute CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing services
  • Set up specific 2D/3D differentiation and gene editing procedures upon user request for specific projects
  • Work in a team environment and have a strong ability to multi-task

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in stem cell biology and ES/iPS cell differentiation systems
  • At least 1 year experience in CRISPR/Cas9 or related gene editing system
  • Experience in working in a Core Facility or Industry/Biotech/R&D Facility
  • Strong Tissue Culture experience for human and mouse ES/iPS cells and PDOs
  • Strong experience in ES cell differentiation
  • Experience in cell lines gene editing
  • Experience with immunofluorescence, confocal and FACS analysis for cellular characterizations
