About this Job

We are seeking a skilled Waiter/Waitress to join our team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Food & Beverage supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing drinks exactly as our guests desire or serving them delectable food. Your primary focus will be on creating relaxing, memorable experiences for our patrons. Key responsibilities include supporting the team with Food & Beverage operations, being the face of our guests' experience, and bringing your unique flavor to the table to ensure that every guest has a fantastic time from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team with Food & Beverage operations to maintain seamless service.
  • Be the face of our guests' experience and bring your unique flavor to the table to create unforgettable memories.
  • Create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests can unwind and enjoy themselves.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure smooth operation and tidiness.
  • Describe the selection of drinks and menu items to guests by providing interesting and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Set up your outlet, stock supplies, and manage inventory to meet guest demands.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness and maintenance of the working area.
  • Be prepared to jump into other ad-hoc duties when colleagues need assistance, which may include serving other outlets like room service, bar, or terrace.
  • Collaborate with restaurant and kitchen colleagues to offer a seamless food service.
  • Comply with departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and possess high-level attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is a must.
  • Able to make people feel good - team members, guests, and colleagues alike.
  • An excellent relationship builder, confident in working with other teams and leaders.
  • Passionate about creating great hospitality experiences.
