About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon Italia Transport Srl. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Area Managers and driving operational excellence across our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance
  • Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve operational excellence
  • Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, working closely with other teams to drive business results. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching your team, providing leadership and support to help them achieve their best.

About the Team

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
