At Argenx, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our pipeline development efforts in the EMEA region. As a key member of our Medical Affairs team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and expertise to drive the development and implementation of our pipeline strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Pipeline Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of our pipeline strategy for EMEA, in partnership with Global Medical Affairs, regional medical affairs pipeline colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
- Medical Leadership and Expertise: Provide medical leadership and expertise to drive the development and implementation of our pipeline strategy, ensuring alignment with our company's mission and values.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including science, clinical development, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication of our pipeline strategy.
- Medical Affairs Expertise: Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in complex disease areas, treatments, and clinical development plans, ensuring expertise in rare autoimmune diseases.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all medical affairs activities maintain the highest standards, comply with applicable pharmaceutical regulation, and adhere to Argenx policies and procedures.
- Medical Degree: Medical, pharmaceutical, or high-level scientific degree (MD, PharmD preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years' experience in rare diseases in Medical Affairs and clinical research and development, managing budgets and vendors.
- Language Skills: Business fluency in English and at least one other major European language.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading a Medical Affairs team and developing and implementing medical affairs strategies to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
