About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team at Amazon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring the efficient delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives across sites to enhance operational performance
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as a key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. Your day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep dives into performance and risk metrics, and preparation for varying levels of demand. You will also mentor and coach your team, providing leadership and support to help them excel in their roles.

About the Team

Amazon's Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a critical role in our success. As part of ATS, you will join a diverse team that utilizes air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology. Our team collects data and uses it to drive decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient. We prioritize safety and use the expertise of our people to deliver packages quickly, conveniently, and sustainably.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in English and intermediate proficiency in the local language (Spanish)
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, as well as experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment, are preferred but not required.
