Financial Operations Specialist

Role Summary:
The Cloud Financial Analyst will play a critical role in promoting a culture of cost accountability and awareness for customers' cloud consumption within the Informatics Business Unit at Cfmg. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi-cloud landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities, working closely with the cloud team to resolve issues and improve cloud resource utilization.
- Financial Oversight and Management: Provide financial oversight and management of cloud operating budgets and chargebacks to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and administer reporting and tracking systems for all total cost of ownership (TCO) and economic-related activities, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Track commercial cost analytics with third-party cloud vendors, ensuring accurate and timely billing and invoicing.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in financial or operational analysis, with a strong background in cloud financial management.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP cloud services, cost management, and billing semantics; experience with MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI/Tableau; and Python skills a plus.
- Personal Qualities: Innovative and able to think freely for creative problem-solving; comfortable working in a cross-functional and multidisciplinary environment; ability to work independently and as part of a team; and ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines.
