Your Mission

The Corporate Pricing Consultant (CPC) plays a crucial role in defining the pricing strategy and ensuring its effective local execution. This position is also tasked with adhering to existing governance frameworks while actively contributing to their ongoing enhancement. Furthermore, the CPC evaluates potential new assets from both market access and pricing viewpoints, aiding in the sustained growth and development of the organization.

In this capacity, the CPC will operate under the guidance of the Head of Corporate Pricing, collaborate closely with the new asset evaluation team, and engage with essential functions such as Market Access Managers, Local Pricing teams, and Global Brand teams. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate a matrix environment, alongside strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the capability to drive strategy execution and influence peers and local teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • For Pre-launch Products: Engage in the evaluation of new assets from market access and pricing perspectives. Conduct comprehensive pricing, payer, and market access research to inform product pricing and access strategies. Collaborate with the Market Access Manager to formulate the global Market Access & Pricing strategy for assigned products, specifically focusing on pricing strategy. Develop the launch sequence, proposing optimal list and net prices to ensure appropriate access and drive global execution. Work with the Corporate Market Access Manager to create product value propositions and messaging aligned with the overall product value strategy.
  • For Launching Products: Create contracting guidance and tools to enhance local negotiations. Provide training and support to local teams to facilitate effective contracting options and negotiations.
  • For Post-launch Products: Review and assist local Pricing & Reimbursement submissions and price adjustments. Formulate lifecycle management pricing and reimbursement strategies, including price maintenance and gross-to-net strategies. Oversee price modifications and the creation of pricing maps, challenging responsible parties to achieve suitable price developments.
  • Non-product Specific: Promote the optimization of pricing processes, tools, and governance structures, advocating for continuous improvement. Monitor and analyze trends in the Health Care Environment and competitive landscapes to inform market access strategies. Participate in broader cross-functional projects to ensure collaboration and knowledge sharing across various areas.

Requirements

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A degree in Life Sciences, Economics, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Pricing and Market Access within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Experience in a global role or familiarity with pricing requirements across various geographies is desirable.
  • The ability to drive and implement strategies while managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, communication, organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
