Internship Opportunity: Mergers & Acquisitions, ESG

ERM is seeking candidates in Spain to join our dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team through our internship program. As a global leader in sustainability consulting, we offer exciting opportunities to work on both national and international consulting projects. Under the guidance of experienced project managers, Senior, and Principal Consultants, interns will engage in impactful work that contributes to our clients' sustainable development goals.

The role will be mostly desk-based, in one of our offices in Madrid or Barcelona.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in audits focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues to help companies identify reputational risks and opportunities for sustainable development.
  • Providing support to the team in delivering innovative services such as ESG strategy development.
  • Providing support in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) audits to assist mergers and acquisitions, as well as supply chain audit programs.
  • Reviewing reports and documents.

About You:

  • Enrolled in a Master's degree programme in Economics, Environmental, Finance, or related disciplines in a Spanish University.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards, frameworks, and indices such as TCFD, GRI, CDP, SBTi, and ESG Indices
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (B2/C1 level); proficiency in other foreign languages is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work in an international environment, coupled with curiosity, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
