Position

We are seeking an experienced sales-oriented Business Developer to join our team as a Business Development Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advancing our mission by assisting partners in innovation project development, feasibility studies, and project management tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to partners in the Central & West European countries and beyond in innovation project development, feasibility studies, and project management tasks.
  • Evaluate and assess project outcomes to ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Drive service sales for current partners while actively seeking opportunities to expand the EIT RawMaterials network by acquiring new partners.
  • Showcase the value proposition of our products and services, including Open Innovation Challenges and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Evaluate the progress of ongoing innovation upscaling projects, including start-ups and scale-ups.
  • Support projects' lifecycle management to facilitate market uptake and maximize impact.
  • Promote and sell key products and services, actively contributing to the development and monitoring of matchmaking and networking events.
  • Engage with partners and stakeholders to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Connect with national and regional innovation programs, local partners, and government bodies to explore opportunities for collaboration and funding.

Requirements

  • Solid expertise in sales, business development, and project portfolio management.
  • Experience in product and/or business development within raw or advanced materials or related topics.
  • Commercial experience setting up and selling services to SMEs and large organizations.
  • Fluency in English and French, with additional language skills considered advantageous.
  • A deep understanding of the Central & West European metals/minerals sector.
  • At least an MSc or equivalent degree related to raw and advanced materials.
  • Familiarity with EU or national funding programs is a plus.
