Country Sales Manager for Spanish and Portuguese Markets

Renowned International travel related company with offices worldwide is seeking an experienced Country Sales Manager for the Spanish and Portuguese markets with a background in the airline industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales strategies, activating and promoting a sales & marketing plan. Key responsibilities include maintaining regular contact with customers through visits, email, or telephone/Teams communications, as well as representing the company at relevant local trade fairs and events.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive sales strategies and activate a sales & marketing plan
- Maintain regular contact with customers through visits, email, or telephone/Teams communications
- Represent the company at relevant local trade fairs and events
- Analyze local market and trends
- Identify, negotiate with potential partners
- Work internally with other office teams as well as the headquarters to maximize business opportunities
- Search for new business opportunities and share knowledge across the organization
- Regular reporting to the Regional Director
- Airline or Travel Industry Sales industry sales experience is a must
- Experience in managing a team, high Communication and social skills
- Cheerful and positive attitude, at the same time as respectful and professional
- Expert users in Office 365 (Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills)
- Experience in distribution technologies (GDS, NDC, etc.)
- Ambitious, self-motivated, ability to work under pressure, excellent business communication skills and full independence
- Strong experience in B2B negotiations and sales management
- Overseeing and monitoring revenue development and budget sales
- Written and verbal communication, complemented by presentation prowess
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational aptitude
- A high level of fluency in English is essential (Portuguese knowledge is an advantage)
- Strong sales skills and a proven track record in the local Spanish and Portuguese travel industry
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, products and procedures
- Ability to travel on duty trips
- Hard-worker, organized, self-sufficient and energetic
