Europe Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced Europe Payroll Manager to join our financial department in Spain.
This role will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing all aspects of payroll operations, including company payments, payroll changes, and payroll summaries for management review.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of payroll and HR software, labor legislation, and tax laws, as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
Your ImpactAs a Europe Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team responsible for all aspects of the European payroll process
- Approving transactions and reviewing exemptions
- Changing individual payrolls as stipulated by management
- Maintaining payroll systems and reporting any issues to management
- Supervising personnel involved in payroll and ensuring the best financial practices are adhered to
- Auditing payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax laws
- Creating monthly and annual payroll reports for management review
- Ensuring all payroll systems comply with local tax laws
- Attending any payroll-related queries or questions from employees
- Supporting the close and external audit, when needed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, human resource management, or a similar field
- 4-5 years' experience in payroll in European countries
- Excellent knowledge of payroll and HR software, such as ADP and Workday
- Familiarity with labor legislation and tax laws
- The ability to ethically work with employee-sensitive information
- Solid knowledge of data entry management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
