Position Overview

Role Objective

As a Team Leader at GUCCI, you will motivate and guide a passionate group of Client Advisors to achieve exceptional results through a customer-focused approach.

You will operate directly on the sales floor, providing immediate coaching and constructive feedback to meet business and product category objectives. Your role will also involve nurturing and developing the talent within your team. The Team Leader will embody the brand as a GUCCI Ambassador, promoting the core values and principles of GUCCI in the marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities

Team Management

Engage with your team on the sales floor, offering support and coaching to ensure a seamless client experience; Deliver ongoing feedback to Client Advisors to foster their growth and maintain high levels of motivation and engagement; Oversee store operations as the Manager on Duty, providing leadership and direction to all Client Advisors during shifts; Conduct Store Morning Briefings as necessary, sharing essential business updates and daily goals; Facilitate cross-category selling and teamwork, ensuring your team is equipped to sell across all product categories; Hold regular performance discussions, reviewing results, identifying opportunities, and creating action plans; Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process to build a high-performing team; Ensure your team adheres to company policies and procedures, addressing any issues as they arise.

Client Engagement

Inspire your team to deliver an outstanding client experience, ensuring each Client Advisor embodies a hospitality mindset; Cultivate a client engagement approach aimed at building lasting relationships with customers; Achieve business goals by implementing the company's client segmentation strategy; Utilize various clienteling tools to activate, retain, and expand both team and personal client bases; Guide the execution of clienteling initiatives with your team, establishing clear objectives and KPIs; Monitor Client Advisors' performance and collaborate with them on actionable plans for clienteling excellence; Lead by example on the sales floor, actively participating in sales and demonstrating effective selling techniques. Manage customer flow in the store to ensure all clients receive exceptional service; Address and resolve customer concerns, enhancing and preserving client relationships. Collect meaningful customer data to personalize engagement and identify development opportunities. Regularly review client management reports; Maintain a strong understanding of KPIs and strategize to address any performance shortfalls; Fully support and align with key business initiatives and new product introductions; Lead and support company-driven local events and product launches, ensuring client participation and sales targets are met; Represent the GUCCI brand through appropriate attire and professional presence as per company guidelines.

Product Oversight

Track the performance of assigned product categories and proactively suggest action plans to meet targets; Collaborate with the Store Director and Merchandising team, providing valuable feedback on products and stock levels; Work alongside the Store Director and Visual Merchandising team to maximize category potential while adhering to store image standards; Partner with the Store Director and Training team to ensure Client Advisors possess comprehensive product knowledge and are aware of market trends; Leverage digital platforms to enhance both in-store and online product sales.

Operational Excellence

Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and other departments to enforce company policies and procedures; Create accurate monthly schedules and leadership zoning by analyzing peak hours for optimal floor coverage; Uphold visual merchandising standards established by the global headquarters; Ensure the organization of company assets in both back and front of house according to stock guidelines; Maintain the consignment program in compliance with company policies; Track all special orders through effective merchandising communication; Communicate weekly replenishment needs for best-selling items through the Business Planning program.

Candidate Profile

2-4 years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or a service-oriented industry is required. A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred. Ability to analyze sales reports, identify trends, and respond swiftly to business needs. Proven track record of driving positive customer experiences that foster loyalty and deliver measurable outcomes. Capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Strong business acumen and industry awareness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities. A passion for the fashion industry. Ability to inspire and influence a team, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset and high integrity. Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
