About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Support Specialist to join our Global UWS Sales team at Wärtsilä. As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in generating customer-specific solutions, specifications, and quotations for our Wartsila Underwater Services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate customer-specific solutions, specifications, and quotations according to the needs of the Sales team.
  • Evaluate inquiries and register/maintain opportunity information in CRM.
  • Configure solutions according to defined needs.
  • Prepare cost calculations according to directives and agreed targets.
  • Evaluate the technical and environmental risks of the solution.
  • Ensure that response time for sales inquiries/requests/orders are met.
  • Understand customer needs and contribute in supporting them to meet their objectives.

Requirements

  • Sales skills or technical insight and experience from working in the maritime industry is a plus.
  • Sales and/or technical experience from previous roles.
  • Knowledge in CRM Sales Force tools and technical background, if possible, related to the shipping industry.
  • A safety-first mindset.
  • Technical education or equivalent qualifications as a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with responsibility for collating costs and invoices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and customer empathy.
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrable teamwork skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations.
  • A working knowledge of commercial administration processes.
  • Passion for the Underwater Services business and willingness to drive it to the next level.
  • Experience in the Maritime Industry.
  • Ability to work in multicultural/international business environments.
  • Self-driven and motivated with a continuous learning ability.
  • Openness & willingness to adapt to change.
  • Proficient negotiation skills.
