Your Role

As Director of Food and Beverage, you will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for developing and implementing food and beverage strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance the guest experience. You will work closely with our General Manager to achieve our business objectives and ensure that our food and beverage operations are aligned with our brand positioning and image.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Revenue Growth: Achieve budgeted revenues, prepare monthly forecasts, and monitor and control food, beverage, and labor costs to maximize profitability within the food and beverage department.
  2. Departmental Budgeting: Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans that support the overall objectives of the hotel.
  3. Marketing and Promotions: Develop, implement, and maintain local food and beverage marketing programs for the hotel, and participate in and maintain system-wide food and beverage marketing programs and promotions.
  4. Menu Design and Quality: Review and approve menu design and concepts with the Executive Chef, and ensure that all staff is properly trained on quality and service standards.
  5. Staff Development and Training: Ensure that all staff has the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions, and promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  6. Guest Satisfaction: Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals, and respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints, and requests.
  7. Facilities and Equipment: Ensure that all food and beverage equipment are in proper operational condition and are cleaned on a regular basis, and that all food and beverage facilities are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume.

Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field.
  2. Experience: 5+ years' experience leading the food and beverage department in a luxury hotel.
  3. Language Skills: Must be fluent in local languages and English, with additional languages being highly valuable.
  4. Technical Skills: Oracle MICROS knowledge will be highly valuable.
  5. Personal Qualities: Proactive, positive, energetic, dynamic, empathetic, team-worker, and passionate about service.
