Job Description:

As a key member of the EEE Engineering and Radiation Team in Electronic Parts and Assemblies Center of Competences Spain, you will be working on various space-related projects, including Launchers, Earth Exploration, Space Exploration, and Commercial Telecommunications Satellites. As a key technical interface between Electronic Parts and Assemblies CoC and design area, you will be responsible for the complete development of electronic equipment, from proposal phase to final delivery of the flight model. Your tasks will include:

  • Technical Support: Providing global support to local design teams on EEE technical, technology, application, and radiation topics.
  • Component Introduction: Introducing new components and second sources upon strategy through the approved PL.
  • EEE Parts Roadmap: Contributing to the EEE parts roadmap to prepare for future EEE needs and ensure application.
  • Global Support: Providing global support to the definition, evaluation, and validation of new EEE parts in space applications.
  • Expertise and Network: Maintaining a high level of expertise in EEE parts and a trans-national Application Engineering network.
  • Component Selection: Selecting the right components according to needs through the PST, LPC, based on requirements by quality, plant stock, and ACL process.
  • Technical Expertise: Providing technical expertise for EEE data on databases.
  • Technical Notes: Preparing technical notes on EEE devices based on technical/technological aspects and supporting local design teams on technical notes related to EEE parts usage on specific applications.
  • Specification and Qualification: Supporting and approving EEE part detailed specifications, evaluation, and qualification plans.
  • Customer Support: Supporting customers on technical and technology aspects.
  • Post-Procurment Activities: Supporting in associated post-procurement activities.
  • Lab Services: Supporting in the evaluation of lab services provided by external labs.
  • Failure Analysis: Supporting any issue on EEE parts from technical and technology points of view, including leading failure analysis and participating in NRB.
  • R&D: Proposing, contributing, and supporting R&D in advanced studies related to EEE application, technology, and space validation.
  • EEE Parts Roadmap: Contributing to the EEE parts roadmap by collecting needs to prepare for EEE future used in applications, collaborating with manufacturers on their roadmap, and new developments based on Airbus Crisa EEE future needs.
  • Radiation Test Definition: Involvement in EEE parts radiation test definition, particularly in support to EEE procurement activities.
  • Project Support: Project support in all development phases for equipment, from bid-phase to unit delivery.
  • Radiation Data Collection: Contributing to the radiation/EEE data collection in the frame of Electronic Parts and Assembly transnational organization and supporting radiation test campaigns by drafting test plans.
  • Radiation Analysis: Performing calculations relevant to radiation analysis (sector analysis (dose) and SEE predictions).
  • Interaction and Conformance: Establishing and supporting a strong interaction within EPA center of competence (CoC) and ensuring conformance of all subcontracted equipment to the project's radiation requirements.
  • Review and Promotion: Reviewing subcontractors' performance and documents, holding review meetings (ERCBs), and promoting and applying Airbus DS standards and processes in the radiation area, especially the RADIUM process.

Requirements:

  • Education: Engineering or Physics MsC.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the area of active and passives components.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Good knowledge of EEE device physics, construction, and functionality, as well as knowledge on failure modes related to passive, active, and optoelectronics components.
  • Language: English and Spanish must be at negotiation level.
  • Certifications: None specified.
  • Soft Skills: High competence in team work, cooperation, and negotiating skills, as well as the ability to act in a trans-national way, covering interests from all sites, customer-oriented mind-set, high entitlements to quality, schedule, and costs, digitalization mindset, and the ability to work autonomously and cooperatively with a proactive attitude solving problems.
