We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Hardness Specialist to join our team at Deimos Space. As a key member of our Systems Engineering Competence Centre, you will play a crucial role in supporting our current and upcoming projects related to radiation engineering activities for satellite systems.
Main Responsibilities- Technical Support and Studies: Provide technical support and conduct studies across our projects in the radiation hardness field, throughout all project phases.
- Radiation Effects Simulations: Perform simulations of radiation effects on spacecraft electronic equipment using suitable physics-based software tools to produce new models or improve existing ones.
- Characterisation and Analysis: Characterise and analyse total ionising dose (TID), displacement damage (DD) and single-event effect (SEE) for space applications.
- Monitoring and Follow-up: Monitor and follow-up on applicable scientific and technological trends while maintaining state-of-the-art expertise within the company.
- Project Participation: Participate in feasibility studies, project reviews and the evaluation or generation of technical proposals.
- Dissemination Activities: Contribute to dissemination activities not only within the company but also externally (publications, papers, etc).
The ideal candidate should have some, but not all, of the following skills:
- Experience in Radiation Hardness Analysis: Experience and background in the field of radiation hardness analysis and assurance.
- Component Engineering Knowledge: A basic knowledge of component engineering, analysis and simulation of radiation effects on spacecraft units and EEE components.
- Radiation Analysis Tools: Knowledge of radiation analysis and design tools: CATIA, FASTRAD, OMERE.
- MBSE Philosophy: Knowledge of MBSE philosophy.
- Spacecraft Systems Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of the systems and subsystems encompassing a spacecraft.
- New Space Approach: Knowledge of New Space approach and techniques.
- Low-Level Integration: Knowledge of low-level integration and testing techniques.
- Technical Documentation: Experience in writing relevant technical and project implementation documentation.
- ECSS Techniques: Expertise performing tasks to analyse technical data, verify and sustain specific systems configurations in accordance with defined constraints and driving/operational/technical requirements (following ECSS techniques).
- Dynamic Environment: Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
Any of the following skills are desirable:
- Capella MBSE Tool: Knowledge of Capella MBSE Tool and/or Valispace.
