Job Summary

The Associate Director, IT Delivery Area & Development will lead and execute strategic IT programs that improve the capabilities and performance of the organization, utilizing the Service Delivery team or coordinating resources from the associated IT department and external partners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Change via Technology: Serve as the point of contact with the IT Business Partner of the respective business area, translating business needs into effective and/or improved processes and/or technical solutions.
  • Promote opportunities for applying technology to business problems, ensuring the department holds a good understanding of the business processes and the technical solutions that support the respective business area.
  • Direct the planning phase of IT projects and manage the IT portfolio for the respective business area, ensuring all requests are documented, screened, and scheduled according to designated priorities.
  • Maximize the use of Agile delivery practices to become a transparent and trusted partner for business stakeholders, ensuring effective project mandate is developed.
  • Full responsibility to manage the operational expense budget to support the delivery services, overseeing system and server obsolescence management in close coordination with the IT Business Partner and business priorities.
  • Oversee project execution and day-to-day operations, ensuring resources, either internal from the associated IT Department or external, are secured to meet business demands.
  • Ensure high-level quality in solutions is delivered, ensuring compliance with Regulatory standards, particularly in GXP environments, and implement best practices for data security and data integrity.

People Management

  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics, creating development plans for each team member.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, motivating team members, recognizing high performance, and rewarding accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial engineering, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • More than 8 years of experience in RD; application development, project management, and process design, and system validation practices with direct exposure to Business.
  • Experience leading teams.
