The Associate Director, IT Delivery Area and Research & Development will lead and execute strategic IT programs that enhance the capabilities and performance of R&D, leveraging the Service Delivery team or coordinating resources from the associated IT department and external partners. This role aims to integrate business processes using existing and new technology to meet specific business needs, aligning closely with business, technical, and development architects.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Change through Technology: Serve as the primary point of contact with the IT Business Partner for the respective business area.
- Translate Business Needs into Effective Solutions: Promote opportunities for applying technology to business problems, ensuring the department has a thorough understanding of business processes and technical solutions.
- Direct IT Project Planning and Portfolio Management: Manage team capacity to ensure business objectives are met, resources are utilized efficiently, and risks are managed. Ensure all requests are documented, screened, and scheduled according to designated priorities.
- Oversee Project Execution and Day-to-Day Operations: Secure resources, either internal or external, to meet business demands. Ensure high-quality solutions are delivered, and compliance with Regulatory standards, particularly in GXP environments, is maintained.
- People Management: Monitor team performance, report on metrics, create development plans, and foster an inspiring team environment with open communication.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial engineering, business administration, or a closely related discipline is required. The ideal candidate will have more than 8 years of experience in R&D application development, project management, and process design, with direct exposure to business and experience leading teams.
