Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Manager - Meeting Planner to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for planning and executing large-scale events, conferences, and meetings for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning: Plan and coordinate high-profile events for up to 1000 attendees, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  2. Room Allotment: Manage room allotment for in-house events and large convention blocks, maximizing revenue and efficiency.
  3. Facilities and Services: Develop in-depth knowledge of our hotel's facilities, products, and services to provide expert recommendations to clients.
  4. Commercial Strategy: Collaborate with the Commercial Director, Assistant Director GM&E; Sales, and the Commercial Department to drive hotel revenue through upselling and cross-selling with external partners.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior team members and trainees, and contributing to their professional development.
  6. Customer Satisfaction: Conduct hotel site inspections, pre-conference meetings, and exit interviews to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  7. Data Collection and Reporting: Support data collection and reporting as required, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  8. Sales and Marketing Activities: Participate in sales and marketing activities, such as call days and sales blitz, to drive business growth.

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Customer Service: Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service under pressure.
  2. Commercial Focus: Balance commercial acumen with customer-centric approach, driving revenue growth while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  3. Negotiation Skills: Comfortable negotiating with clients and colleagues, resolving conflicts and finding mutually beneficial solutions.
  4. Time Management and Communication: Effective time management and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate complex information to clients and stakeholders.
  5. Experience: At least two years of experience in Groups, Meetings & Events in a hotel or similar environment.
  6. Technical Skills: Knowledge of hotel management systems, such as Hilton PMS, is an advantage.
  7. Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, with Spanish and other languages an advantage.
