The Adler Pelzer Group is a global leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of acoustic and thermal components and systems for the automotive sector. With a workforce of over 15,000 employees and approximately 100 manufacturing and R&D facilities, we deliver to all major car brands worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide direct support to office and production users, managing standard systems, both hardware and software. The IT Support Specialist will report to the Country IT Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring smooth IT operations across our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Support: Provide technical assistance to office and production users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Hardware Preparation and Imaging: Prepare and image hardware devices, ensuring they meet the required specifications and are ready for deployment.
  • Software Installation and Configuration: Install and configure software applications, ensuring they meet the required specifications and are functioning correctly.
  • Asset Management: Manage and maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
  • Periodic Checklist and Maintenance: Perform regular checks and maintenance on hardware and software systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Low-Level Switching Setup (VLAN): Configure and manage low-level switching setups, ensuring they meet the required specifications and are functioning correctly.
  • Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, identifying and resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency in using ticketing systems for incident management and tracking.
  • Familiarity with imaging systems like SCCM for hardware preparation and software deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with asset management systems and inventory tracking.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and low-level switching (VLAN) setups.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and local language.
