Senior Director, Business Development

Scopely is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to join our Global Publishing team.

About the Role

The Senior Director, Business Development will be responsible for driving Scopely's distribution and growth strategy globally. This includes developing key relationships with top IP partners, new distribution platforms, and vendors in the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a global business development strategy that aligns with Scopely's overall distribution strategy and principles.
  • Source and negotiate large complex partnerships that grow Scopely's consumer and commercial presence globally.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure the needs of the business are being met in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends by analyzing market data, playing new releases, and attending industry events and conferences.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of Business Development/Partnership experience within the digital entertainment industry.
  • Experience creating and executing a global business development strategy.
  • Ability to identify and negotiate large-scale commercial agreements.
  • Gaming experience preferred, particularly in free-to-play games.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
