Senior Director, Business Development

Scopely is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to drive growth and expansion in the global gaming industry.

About the Role

The Senior Director, Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing a global business development strategy that aligns with Scopely's overall distribution strategy and principles. This includes building and maintaining key relationships with top IP partners, new distribution platforms, and vendors in the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a global business development strategy that drives audience and revenue growth for Scopely's portfolio of games.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with top IP partners, new distribution platforms, and vendors in the gaming industry.
  • Source and negotiate large complex partnerships that grow Scopely's overall consumer and commercial presence globally.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure the needs of the business are being met in a timely manner.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to attend industry events and conferences.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of Business Development / Partnership experience within the digital entertainment industry.
  • Experience creating and executing a global business development strategy.
  • Ability to identify and negotiate large scale commercial agreements.
  • Gaming experience preferred, and particularly free-to-play games.
  • Passion & love for video games.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Ability to analyze data to make data-driven decisions - skills in Excel and Google Sheets necessary.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - Keynote, Powerpoint, or Google Slides skills required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
