About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Associate to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team. As a Tax Associate, you will play a key role in performing international and local tax activities, including tax compliance, tax accounting, and transfer pricing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support managing tax compliance processes for assigned countries, including preparing preparatory work for tax declarations, control checks of invoices, and submission of required fiscal reports and tax declarations.
- Ensure quality of tax-related accounting data by monitoring and implementing control checks, and monitoring and following up with other internal departments and local tax authorities.
- Follow up on new legislation affecting tax compliance of countries in scope.
- Manage notifications and requests from tax authorities.
- Assist in tax audits by compiling and preparing requested information and documentation.
- Participate in meetings with business partners (legal, business finance, IT, and accounting teams) to share information and address business initiatives.
- Support local/global projects and transitions.
- Support in solving issues and looking for solutions across teams.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Finance or Law with 1 year of experience in taxes.
- Master in Taxation is a plus.
- Internship in tax department of a multinational company is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, initiative, and reliability.
- Pro-active attitude & Team player.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to interact with Finance and non-Finance staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain a sustainable stakeholder network.
- Well-structured, organized, flexible, and happy to work and collaborate within a changing working environment.
- A high proficiency level in English, both written and spoken.
- Additional languages are a plus.
