Academic Positions Open for Tenure-Eligible Lecturers and Associate Professors

The Serra Húnter Programme (Shp) is a prestigious academic initiative that aims to attract highly qualified faculty members to public universities in Catalonia, Spain. Our programme is committed to promoting excellence in research and teaching, and we are seeking talented individuals to join our faculty as tenure-eligible lecturers and associate professors.
Available PositionsWe are offering 78 positions as tenure-eligible lecturer and 5 positions as associate professor in various fields of study, including sciences, life sciences, medical and health sciences, social sciences, engineering and architecture, and arts and humanities. Successful candidates will be hired by the university offering the position and are expected to cooperate with existing groups and/or develop new lines of research, complementary to those already in place.
QualificationsTo be eligible for these positions, candidates must hold a PhD and have an excellent record of publications in good venues in their fields. They should also have international exposure, have participated in competitive research projects, and have teaching experience.
Contract DetailsFor tenure-eligible lecturers, a fixed-term full-time contract is offered for a period of up to six years. At the end of the contract, the university undertakes a process to open a permanent position as associate professor provided that the candidate passes a positive evaluation. For associate professors, a full-time permanent contract is offered.
Compensation and BenefitsThe annual starting salary is currently 37,553.42 euros for a lecturer and 41,438.62 euros for an associate professor, before taxes. In addition to salary, contracts include health, retirement, and unemployment benefits.
Selection ProcessThe selection process has two steps. The first step is the international call, and the second step is the actual recruitment competition process, handled by the university in accordance with its own rules.
