We are a multinational company seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Associate with French language expertise to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team. Our company is dedicated to providing innovative solutions and services that benefit people and improve their quality of life.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Tax Senior Associate with French language skills to contribute to our Tax operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax processes, including VAT, WHT, CIT, Tax Accounting, and Local taxes, for assigned countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support managing tax compliance processes for assigned countries, including preparation of preparatory work for tax declarations, completion of forms, and submission of required fiscal reports and tax declarations.
- Contribute to improving tax processes and implementing innovation and standardization to enhance overall tax compliance quality.
- Ensure quality of tax-related accounting data by monitoring and implementing control checks, as well as monitoring and following up with other internal departments and local tax authorities.
- Follow up on any new legislation affecting tax compliance of countries in scope.
- Manage notifications and requirements from tax authorities.
- Assist in tax audits by compiling and preparing requested information and documentation.
- Participate in meetings with business partners (legal, business finance, IT, and accounting teams) to share information and address various business initiatives.
- Support local/global projects and transitions.
- Support knowledge management activities as part of daily tasks.
- Prepare and conduct trainings related to tax processes for process stakeholders and Tax Team.
- Support in solving, follow up on issues, and looking for solutions across team.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Tax/Fiscal, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Business with 2+ years of experience in taxes.
- Proven professional tax practice in multinational companies and/or preferably experience in international tax firms.
- Experience in GBS centers is a plus.
- Experience across Tax Operations, Tax accounting/reporting, Corporate Income Tax, Indirect Taxes, International Tax.
- Good tax judgment and business knowledge or ability to quickly learn.
- At least basic knowledge of SAP and advanced level of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Accounting, Tax, and Finance relevant processes in a legal entity and at group level of multinational companies and their point of intersection with other business processes.
- Ability to collaborate and work under pressure with high flexibility in a changing and complex environment.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, initiative, and reliability.
- Pro-active attitude & Team player.
- A high proficiency level in English and French, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
- Additional languages are a plus.
