We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Associate with expertise in French to join our team at Wodker Associates. As a key member of our Global Business Services (GBS) team, you will play a critical role in performing international and local tax activities, including tax compliance, tax accounting, and transfer pricing.
About the Role
As a Tax Senior Associate, you will be responsible for managing tax processes, including VAT, WHT, CIT, tax accounting, and local taxes, for assigned countries. Your tasks will include:
- Supporting the management of tax compliance processes, including preparing preparatory work for tax declarations, completing forms, and submitting required fiscal reports and tax declarations.
- Contributing to the improvement of tax processes and the implementation of innovation and standardization to enhance overall tax compliance quality.
- Ensuring the quality of tax-related accounting data by monitoring and implementing control checks, as well as monitoring and following up with other internal departments and local tax authorities.
- Following up on any new legislation affecting tax compliance in assigned countries.
- Managing notifications and requirements from tax authorities.
- Assisting in tax audits by compiling and preparing requested information and documentation.
- Participating in meetings with business partners (legal, business finance, IT, and accounting teams) to share information and address various business initiatives.
- Supporting local/global projects and transitions.
- Supporting knowledge management activities as part of daily tasks.
- Preparing and conducting trainings related to tax processes for process stakeholders and Tax Team.
- Supporting in solving, following up on issues, and looking for solutions across team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BA/BS degree in Tax/Fiscal, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Business with 2+ years of experience in taxes.
- Proven professional tax practice in multinational companies and/or experience in international tax firms.
- Experience across Tax Operations, Tax accounting/reporting, Corporate Income Tax, Indirect Taxes, and International Tax.
- Good tax judgment and business knowledge or ability to quickly learn.
- At least basic knowledge of SAP and advanced level of Microsoft Office applications.
