About the Role

FeverUp is a leading global live-entertainment discovery tech platform, and we're seeking a seasoned Legal Director to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you'll play a critical role in supporting our business growth and expansion.

As a Legal Director - Corporate and M&A, you'll be responsible for managing a team of corporate and M&A trained lawyers, working closely with our business teams to negotiate and execute a range of corporate transactions worldwide. This includes acquisitions, investments, and corporate and contractual joint ventures.

You'll also foster effective internal, cross-functional relationships to strategically identify and address legal needs, mitigate risks, and facilitate initiatives and compliance. Additionally, you'll work closely with our General Counsel on parent company corporate management, including equity and debt financing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Business and Corporate Development leadership in designing and executing strategies for corporate transactions and their financing.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents for corporate transactions, including acquisitions, investments, funding rounds, debt financings, reorganizations, and joint ventures.
  • Provide proactive and strategic support to business teams and upper management in negotiations of deals and contracts.
  • Manage and communicate with key stakeholders, including C-suite and investors.
  • Advising on the engagement of external legal advisors and coordinating their work.
  • Prepare and deliver training to the legal team and business teams on corporate and transactional legal matters.
  • Manage a team of corporate and M&A lawyers and participate in their upskilling and growth.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A successful track record of creating impact, leading a professional legal team, and driving business growth.
  • 5+ years of in-house experience, preferably with a corporate and commercial background, and prior experience in highly ranked law firms.
  • A JD with strong academic credentials and a barred US lawyer, preferably NY barred.

We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude, excellent project management skills, and the ability to drive projects forward. You'll need to operate at pace, digest new information quickly, and balance short and long-term goals. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
