Position Overview

The O2C Collection Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organization by ensuring timely collections from clients across various regions, particularly focusing on France and the MEA area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively reach out to clients through various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, and messaging platforms, to follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Data Management: Accurately document collection activities and update invoice statuses in the designated collection management system.
  • Process Understanding: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Order to Cash (OTC) cycle to effectively manage disputes and enhance resolution strategies.
  • Coordination: Work closely with billing teams to address and resolve invoice-related discrepancies.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with the sales department to facilitate negotiations and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Payment Tracking: Collaborate with the cash allocation team to monitor customer payments and ensure proper application to accounts.
  • Legal Preparation: Compile necessary documentation for potential legal proceedings related to collections.
  • Status Reporting: Provide regular updates to the sales team regarding the collection status of their respective portfolios through scheduled meetings.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in various European or global initiatives aimed at improving processes, reporting, and training.
  • Performance Targets: Strive to meet individual and team collection goals, focusing on reducing bad debt and increasing cash inflow.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of calls and negotiations.
  • Capacity to work under pressure while achieving company objectives and collection KPIs.
  • A genuine desire to contribute positively to a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in a diverse, multinational setting is preferred.
