Job Summary

As a Construction Supervisor at Hatch, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating contractors, maintaining project performance objectives, and coordinating work efforts to ensure activities are sequenced according to the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the overall health, safety, and environmental performance on site and verify that contractors protect their workers on site.
  • Responsible for the supervision and administration of construction, including the supervision of contractors and their subcontractors for assigned parts of the project.
  • Assist in coordinating design deliverables to support a continuous and efficient construction process.
  • Be the on-site point of contact for all contractors in their assigned area of the project.
  • Supervise the delivery of materials to site and their delivery to the contractor.
  • Plan and chair project safety meetings, assist with incident investigations and reports, and participate in Hatch's safety programs and initiatives.
  • Communicate the identification, management, and resolution of deficiencies and non-conformities to the Construction Manager.
  • Assist with site administration and maintenance of records.
  • Assist with estimating, programming, cost control, and generating construction reports for all work being performed by the contractor in their assigned area of the project.
Requirements
  • Techincal degree or equivalent years of experience in supervision required for a leadership position.
  • Vocational school and official status for applicable discipline assignment.
  • Minimum five to ten years of experience on site in major projects or heavy construction or industrial construction.
  • Must demonstrate a focus on health and safety in planning and execution of construction.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and lead site-focused teams centered on discipline to execute assigned work scope successfully.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Wide knowledge of the EPCM project execution model, including activities, interfaces, and interdependencies of all project disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction, and other project-related disciplines).
  • Wide knowledge and ability to interpret and apply practical standards of construction appropriately.
