The Marketplace division at Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. is in search of a skilled and customer-focused Senior Category Manager to enhance the growth of Consumables categories across Spain and Europe.

This position demands a strategic mindset in a fast-paced and uncertain environment. You will be responsible for deriving customer and market insights through data analysis to establish a strategic direction, create scalable initiatives by influencing a diverse range of stakeholders, and lead these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy Ownership:
Serve as the business owner for the Consumables category in Spain and oversee projects across Europe. Conduct audits and report on input and output metrics, analyzing data trends from various perspectives.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of KPIs that influence the business, from data extraction and management to modeling and insight generation, driving actionable business insights.

Collaborate closely with Leadership (European Heads of Seller Services) on strategic planning, proposing innovative initiatives, features, and solutions.

Project Management:
Lead multiple projects aimed at driving growth and enhancing Customer and Seller Experience within the Consumables sector in Europe.
Work alongside cross-functional teams (including category and product management, business intelligence, software engineering, sales, legal, and other international partners) to prioritize, inform, and analyze initiatives. Track project results (developing dashboards as necessary) and communicate outcomes to Leadership. Mentor junior team members involved in these projects.

Business Development:
Collaborate with direct Selling Partner recruitment teams to identify strategic accounts and expand selection, thereby improving the customer experience within the category.
Engage with Selling Partners to gather insights and data that contribute to a continuously improving experience.

About the Team:
This role is part of the European Marketplace Consumables Team, responsible for the performance of Marketplace Consumables across the EU.
The team consists of a Head of Seller Services from five major European marketplaces, along with Category Managers and Strategic Account Managers.
We identify opportunities to enhance Customer and Seller Experience, develop projects to address these opportunities, and collaborate across program teams to implement solutions. We pride ourselves on being a self-driven, engaged, and innovative team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in an analytical field (engineering, statistics, economics, business administration, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in Consulting, Product Management, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, or Business Intelligence roles that have included extensive quantitative analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Strong results orientation and organizational skills, with a high degree of ownership and experience managing multiple priorities.
- Interest and experience in building and managing projects in collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, such as customer segmentation and/or behavior.
- Personal initiative and a strong hands-on attitude with a results-driven mentality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA from a top-tier business school is highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills. Medium to advanced knowledge of SQL is a significant advantage. Alternatively, demonstrating strong analytical skills (and experience) and a willingness to learn quickly.
