About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Beam Inc. in Madrid, Spain. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and articulate a strategic framework for category growth and profitability
  • Provide thought leadership and clear articulation of category vision and shopper strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Insights, to drive commercial and brand priorities
  • Build and lead category strategy for the Beam Inc. portfolio, identifying mid-to-long-term growth opportunities and the roles our portfolio plays within the category
  • Work closely with retailers and channel managers to understand their category strategies and priorities
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in FMCG category management, with a strong background in spirits or a related industry
  • 2+ years of experience in national account sales management, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • University degree in a business-related field, such as commerce or business administration
  • Advanced project management skills and experience with database knowledge, including Nielsen, IRI, and Kantar
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a strong aptitude for statistics, mathematics, or business analytics
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and insights, and translate them into simple, actionable recommendations
  • Strong commercial experience, customer management, and collaboration skills
  • Masterful at creating synergies across consumer, shopper, and customer agendas
  • Strong leadership drive, influence, and judgment
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work well within teams
  • Self-motivated, responsive, and tenacious
