We are seeking a skilled Conference Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Working closely with the Director of Sales, you will oversee the planning, organization, and execution of all conferences and events held at our venue.
- Engage with clients to identify their conference objectives, budget constraints, and specific requirements.
- Create comprehensive event plans, timelines, and schedules to guarantee seamless execution.
- Act as the main liaison for clients throughout the planning phase and during the event.
- Prepare and manage financial plans, ensuring all expenses are monitored and align with client expectations while achieving financial targets.
- Collaborate on promotional initiatives to attract clients and optimize event bookings.
- Conduct site inspections and consultations with clients.
- Perform post-event assessments to evaluate success, gather client feedback, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Uphold exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in luxury hospitality events or within a Sales & Marketing department.
- Strong multitasking abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.
- Proven ability to build relationships and foster a positive atmosphere among team members, guests, and colleagues.
- Creative and insightful thinker.
- Proactive in taking ownership of significant issues, resolving problems, and making sound decisions.
- Quick learner who adapts to the unique culture of SLS.
- Open-minded and receptive to new ideas, with a collaborative spirit.
