Front Office Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Supervisor to join our team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of all Front Office areas during shift and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the arrival and departure processes for all guests, ensuring accurate data entry and system updates.
  • Schedule and assign daily work, lead pre-shift meetings, and train team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate team member performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve service standards.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room readiness and ensure timely check-in for guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Process cash and credit transactions, ensuring accurate guest billing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on local events and attractions, providing guests with valuable information and recommendations.
  • Record and act on guest preferences, handling messages, requests, questions, and concerns with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ensure all guests are quoted the correct rate, adhering to our selling strategy and website.
  • Report any issues to the relevant department and verify completion of work tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and presentable reception and public area at all times.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of Front Office experience in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Previous experience with pre-opening hotel operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the SLS brand values and ability to embody them in daily work.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team, with a positive attitude and high level of customer service skills.
