About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Amazon, an inclusive employer and a member of Mygwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community. As a Strategic Agency Manager, you will be responsible for managing the performance of allocated third-party staffing agencies across the territory, ensuring they meet contractual metrics and deliver effective vendor-supplied services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performance Management: Own the relationship with allocated third-party staffing agencies, monitoring their performance and holding them accountable for delivery against pre-agreed contractual metrics.
  2. Partnership and Support: Partner with staffing agencies, using functional expertise to remove blockers that impact agency performance and support them in achieving their goals.
  3. Risk Management: Collaborate with the Agency Risk team and OpsPXT partners to address repeated agency underperformance or escalations, working closely with the Business Management team.
  4. Reviews and Audits: Conduct in-depth formal reviews and audits with staffing agencies to assess their readiness for event days, peak, and launch hiring, and monitor their completion of required actions in a timely manner.
  5. Strategic Initiatives: Lead and contribute to cross-business line and country proposals for tactical initiatives that improve temporary labor hiring outcomes, considering both business and third-party staffing agency perspectives.
  6. Representation: Represent staffing agency requirements and considerations in cross-functional strategic programs at territory and/or country level, including technology, product, policy, or process changes.
  7. Transformation Programs: Support cross-functional transformation programs to define territory-level strategies regarding third-party staffing agency usage.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience in Volume Staffing: Proven experience in volume staffing, capacity planning, operations, or an associated function.
  3. Vendor Management: Experience in managing vendors across large geographical regions.
  4. Analytical Skills: Highly numerate with strong analytical and Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Masters Degree or Equivalent: A master's degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Senior Stakeholder Partnership: Previous experience partnering with senior, cross-functional stakeholders to determine goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions.
  3. Commercial Multi-Site Experience: Experience managing a commercial multi-site master vendor contingency agency or Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) model.
  4. Independent Leadership: Able to deliver independently and take the lead on tactical and strategic initiatives.
  5. Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with good judgment, able to evaluate and make trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs.
  6. Complex Problem-Solving: Skilled in handling complex problems, efforts, decisions, and escalations.
  7. Mediation Skills: A skilled mediator able to balance conflicting priorities and find a path forward in difficult situations.
  8. Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using data and evidence to convey ideas and recommendations on complex topics that scale across regions.
  9. Adaptability: Adaptable and flexible to respond to changing business needs while maintaining velocity.
  10. Team Player: An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  11. High Volume Workload: Comfortable with high-volume workloads.
