The Opportunity

As a Field Technical Engineer within our Electrophysiology (EP) team, you will be responsible for providing expert support and advice on the use of the Abbott EP portfolio within the assigned territory. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert clinical consultation, teaching, and support on the use of all EP products and their appropriate application during electrophysiological procedures in the hospital (catheter laboratory).
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare market.
  • Resolving common customer problems and responding to unexpected customer requests with a sense of urgency and positive action.
  • Providing technical support to the EP salesforce; proactively communicating information and discussing product placement and complex case support with sales team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A B.S. degree in Sciences or Engineering (preferably Biomedical Engineering).
  • Ideally, electrophysiology/cardiac rhythm management clinical experience or an equivalent role within industry.
  • Familiarity with catheter lab and operating room procedures and protocol, as well as strong cardiac anatomy & physiology knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills with active listening skills and questioning techniques.
  • A willingness to travel 50% of the time and ability to work autonomously; adapting work schedule to procedures' duration and coping with irregular/uneven work days.
  • A driving license (at least 1 year).
  • Fluency in English (B2-C1 level).
