The Opportunity
As a Field Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert support and advice on the use of the Abbott Electrophysiology portfolio within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical consultation, teaching, and support on the use of all Electrophysiology products and their appropriate application during electrophysiological procedures in the hospital (catheter laboratory).
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare market.
- Resolve common customer problems and respond to unexpected customer requests with a sense of urgency and positive action.
- Provide technical support to the Electrophysiology salesforce; proactively communicate information and discuss product placement and complex case support with the sales team.
Requirements:
- B.S degree preferably in Sciences or BS in (Medical) Engineering (Biomedical Engineer - Preferred).
- Ideal electrophysiology/cardiac rhythm management clinical experience or in an equivalent role within the industry.
- Familiarity with catheter lab and operating room procedures and protocol and strong cardiac anatomy & physiology knowledge preferred.
- Strong communicator with active listening skills and questioning techniques.
- A willingness to travel 50% of the time and ability to work autonomously; adapting work schedule to procedures' duration and coping with irregular/uneven work days.
