Job Summary

Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Load Calculation Engineer for Field Support to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting root cause analysis for general field issues, performing load calculations for site-specific conditions, and documenting results in technical reports.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough root cause analysis for field issues, identifying causes and applicable solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  2. Perform load calculations for site-specific conditions, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  3. Document results and assessments in technical reports, providing clear and concise recommendations.
  4. Support certification and claims-related tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize controller functions and design components.
  6. Work on projects according to Nordex project management system, ensuring timely completion and quality.
  7. Contribute to the development and improvement of toolchains and methodologies based on field feedback.

Requirements

  1. M.Sc. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Physics or similar field, with specialization in dynamics and simulation.
  2. Knowledge of recognized standards, such as IEC.
  3. Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools, including Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, and Flex5.
  4. Strong understanding of dynamic simulations of complex systems in industrial applications, including fatigue analysis methodologies.
  5. Optional skills in general analysis software (MATLAB, R), structural mechanics, or automation tools.
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility and dynamism in task execution.
  7. Fluent English language skills, with ideal proficiency in Spanish and German.
  8. Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions.
  9. Availability for travel.
