Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Load Calculation Engineer for Field Support to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting root cause analysis for general field issues, performing load calculations for site-specific conditions, and documenting results in technical reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for field issues, identifying causes and applicable solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Perform load calculations for site-specific conditions, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Document results and assessments in technical reports, providing clear and concise recommendations.
- Support certification and claims-related tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize controller functions and design components.
- Work on projects according to Nordex project management system, ensuring timely completion and quality.
- Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of toolchains and methodologies, based on feedback from field situations.
Requirements
- M.Sc. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Physics or similar, with specialization in dynamics and simulation.
- Knowledge of recognized standards, such as IEC.
- Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools, including Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, and Flex5.
- Strong understanding of dynamic simulations of complex systems in industrial applications, as well as fatigue analysis methodologies.
- Optional skills in general analysis software (MATLAB, R), structural mechanics, or automation tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility and dynamism in task execution.
- Fluent in English, with ideal skills in Spanish and German.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions.
- Availability to travel.
