About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement in our operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety training programs.
  • Monitor and report on safety metrics and trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace incidents and near-misses.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
