Job Description

Elecnor Deimos is seeking a highly skilled GNC Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and validate environmental, spacecraft, sensor, and actuator dynamics models for various applications, including Earth observation, interplanetary exploration, and active debris removal.
  • Develop and maintain tools for model validation and versioning.
  • Support the development of strategies for code re-usability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the overall system team to ensure seamless integration of simulation models.
Requirements
  • Strong background in MATLAB/Simulink and C programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and providers worldwide.
Desired Skills
  • Physical modelling with Simscape.
  • Experience with Python and object-oriented programming.
  • Automatic code generation and software engineering.
  • Experience in flight operations in ESA/European programmes.
Education and Experience
  • Recognized engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or a related degree (e.g., Physics, Maths).
  • Postgraduate studies (MSc or PhD) with a focus on aeronautical/aerospace engineering and a solid background in at least two of the following: orbital mechanics, structural modelling, and model-based system engineering.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
Language Skills

Good level of English, spoken and written.
