Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rooms to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Departmental Management: Lead and manage the Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among teams.
  2. Guest Services: Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, ensuring prompt and courteous service delivery.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Monitor and optimize departmental operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  4. Team Development: Foster a culture of excellence, providing training and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
  5. Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with hotel stakeholders, including the Hotel Manager, Revenue Team, and other department heads.
  6. Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex issues, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
  7. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to develop and implement strategic plans, aligning with Ennismore's vision and goals.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  2. Leadership: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, with a strong focus on employee development and engagement.
  3. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient in computer systems, including Opera, Microsoft Office, and point-of-sale systems.
  5. Language: Fluent in Spanish and English.
  6. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and motivation.
