Job Title: Sales Development Representative

At Turnitin, we're committed to ensuring the integrity of global education and improving learning outcomes. We're seeking a driven and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join our team.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a sales professional who can develop and execute lead research and lead generation strategies to drive sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of software and experience with consultative selling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute lead research and lead generation strategies to drive sales growth
  • Understand and articulate the company's value proposition, competitive landscape, and customer needs
  • Navigate institutional and large organization buying/decision-making processes
  • Pre-qualify prospects and advance them through a multistage, consultative sales process
  • Forge partnerships as necessary to bring comprehensive solutions to clients
  • Represent the company at industry events
  • Effectively communicate Proctor Exams value proposition through onsite/online proposals and presentations
  • Market research; identifying targets, collating data and qualifying leads
  • Work closely with marketing to plan sales campaigns, events and lead generation activities
  • Management of essential data in Salesforce CRM such as prospecting, forecasting, quoting, administration, and account metrics
  • Keep up to date with developments in the education market and contribute towards the wider team strategy
  • Provide input into sales collateral development and sales strategies (campaigns, cadence, etc.)
  • Provide product enhancement feedback to technology and service teams
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in relevant field of study
  • 0-3 years of previous sales experience, software sales a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of software
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience with consultative selling is a plus
  • Experience with SPIN Selling is a plus
  • Experience in the academia, or testing services is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong intellectual capabilities, self-direction, and strong winner mentality
  • Strong persuasive skills and technical aptitude
  • Desire to grow and advance professionally
  • Fluency in Spanish or German or Italian is a plus
