About the Role

CIEE is seeking a highly organized and student-focused Senior Program Coordinator to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our program management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our students, ensuring their academic and personal success during their study abroad experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Support: Advise students on academic matters, including course selection, registration, and academic performance. Monitor student attendance and implement the class absence policy.
  • Student Support: Act as a mentor and point of contact for students, providing guidance and support on various aspects of their study abroad experience. Hold regular meetings with students and implement strategies to promote student engagement and well-being.
  • Student Standards of Conduct and Welfare: Ensure students understand and adhere to CIEE's code of conduct and standards of behavior. Provide guidance on health and wellness, and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Health, Safety, and Security: Monitor student health, safety, and security, and take prompt action in case of emergencies. Collaborate with the Student Life Office to resolve cases of serious injury or illness.
  • Crisis and Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response efforts, including providing support to students in crisis situations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and CIEE staff. Collaborate with the Student Life Office and Academic staff to ensure a smooth and successful program.
  • Program Evaluation and Marketing: Assist with program evaluation and marketing efforts, including writing blog posts and recording video stories.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in program coordination or administration.
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional student support and guidance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
