Client Relationship Management Associate

This position is an Associate level role within the Global Client Group at Brookfield Asset Management, aimed at assisting client relationship managers (CRMs) in capital raising initiatives and servicing institutional clients throughout Continental Europe. The Associate will primarily concentrate on supporting Brookfield's private market strategies, which encompass Real Estate, Infrastructure, Renewables & Transition, Private Equity, and Credit.

The Global Client Group ("GCG") offers investment solutions tailored for investors across Brookfield Asset Management's private markets investment platforms. Additionally, the GCG is responsible for managing institutional relationships and raising capital for Brookfield and its affiliated managers' diverse funds and customized investment programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in all facets of fund marketing efforts, client prospect due diligence, and onboarding procedures.
  • Collaborate with CRMs to generate new client investment opportunities.
  • Organize and participate in update meetings with investment teams, preparing pre-meeting reports and relevant materials, and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Attend on-site due diligence meetings with investment teams, ensuring all necessary preparations and follow-ups are in place.
  • Where applicable, engage directly with clients to facilitate their due diligence inquiries.
  • Maintain the internal CRM system (Salesforce) at Brookfield, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for internal reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc Business Development initiatives.
  • Conduct research on the alternative asset industry and specific client needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive pre-meeting reports for each client interaction involving Brookfield investment professionals.
  • Create detailed profiles on prospects as required.
  • Perform in-depth research and analysis, utilizing market data and other resources to develop targeted prospective investor lists for new funds and strategies.
  • Monitor industry news for insights related to prospects and competitors.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Project Management Teams to coordinate roadshows, conferences, and investor meetings.
  • Assist in planning conferences and meetings, including setup and coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Facilitate broad investor communication initiatives.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Requirement: native or fluent proficiency in English, along with at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, or Italian.
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in finance, such as IMC, CAIA, CFA, or MBA, are advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in private markets across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Renewables & Transition, Private Equity, or Credit.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills in investment and finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and proactive work approach.
  • Ability to cultivate strong internal and external relationships.
  • Eager to engage in challenging projects.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the preparation and delivery of presentations.
  • Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail.
