About the Role

Ateme, the global leader in video delivery, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP Sales - Sports to lead our expansion and growth in the EMEA and APAC regions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets across EMEA & APAC by building and nurturing relationships with key players in the sports industry, including sports leagues, teams, broadcasters, and streaming platforms.
  • Develop and execute a robust sales strategy, ensuring alignment with local market needs and the company's global objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, research and development, and operations to ensure product offerings meet the specific needs of each region, enhancing fan engagement and monetization opportunities.
  • Establish and foster strategic alliances and partnerships with key stakeholders in both regions, including rights holders, media partners, and technology providers.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, sports events, and exhibitions, promoting our solutions and building brand awareness.
  • Lead and mentor a team of high-performing sales professionals across multiple countries, ensuring effective collaboration and consistent execution of sales initiatives.
  • Provide strategic insights and market feedback from both regions to the executive team to shape future product development and market positioning.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships within the sports industry, with a focus on the sport markets.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth in the sports sector, with a deep understanding of the commercial dynamics (rights management, broadcasting, OTT, sponsorship, etc.).
  • Strong network of connections within the sports world, including leagues, clubs, and media entities.
  • Fluency in English; additional relevant languages are a plus.
  • A passion for sports and a deep understanding of its influence on media, culture, and business.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across EMEA & APAC to meet with clients and partners.
