About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance and Risk Officer with a strong attitude to tackle complex projects in the financial sector. This position reports directly to the General Counsel for Europe, with direct contact to the executive committee and governing body.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company's compliance program, ensuring alignment with local, national, and international regulations and guidelines in the fintech sector.
- Create, review, and update policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance across all aspects of the business.
- Oversight and development of the Group's risk management framework and internal control system.
- Identify and assess regulatory, operational, financial, reputational, and legal risks of the business, advising on their management and minimization.
- Draft, maintain, and develop the company's risk registers.
- Monitor and report on the company's risks.
- Establish, manage, and coordinate the Internal Audit Committee and the Internal Control Committee in the company, as well as any other recommended or required bodies.
- Lead initiatives to promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organization, including training programs for employees.
- Stay up-to-date with professional, legal, and best practice developments in payments services, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Requirements:
- Law graduate.
- 5+ year experience in compliance and risk in the financial sector (desirable in the payments sector).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- English: Full professional competence (minimum C1).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
