Data Center Site Development Program Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Development Program Manager to lead our data center site development efforts in Europe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing site screening, due diligence, and development efforts to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Development and Management: Lead and manage site screening, due diligence, and development efforts to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
- Data Analysis and Research: Compile and analyze data on prospective regions and sites, including community and regional attributes, real estate situation and cost, permitting and land use considerations, applicable taxes, energy, water and wastewater availability, connectivity, and cost, network connectivity, natural, flood, and climatological risks, and legal and financial implications.
- Risk Management: Determine how to best address site risks and opportunities.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage communications to ensure alignment across key internal and external stakeholders, including site development, engineering, design and construction, external consulting partners, communications, legal, tax, policy, and finance.
- Analysis and Strategy Development: Partner with teammates to develop and present analyses, strategies, and recommended actions to senior management.
- Entitlements and Compliance: Secure all necessary entitlements (e.g., zoning, land use permitting) on schedule by ensuring accurate and timely submission and execution of all supporting materials and overcoming obstacles.
- Portfolio Management: Facilitate ongoing compliance with development agreements for a portfolio of sites in development, construction, and operation.
- Process Improvement: Develop scalable and efficient tools and processes to improve data center development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build, maintain, and own the company's strong relationships with key project sponsors within host communities and key stakeholders such as planning and permitting experts and authorities having jurisdiction.
Requirements:
- Project Management Experience: Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal staff, external consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel internationally as needed (25% to 50%+ at times).
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Qualifications: 15+ years of project management and/or site development experience, skilled with using Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software, and a Bachelor's degree in a business, planning, environmental management, science, or technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data Center Experience: Experience with data centers, mission critical, and other large and complex infrastructure projects.
- Government Collaboration: Experience with collaborating with government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Advanced Education: Advanced technical degree, law degree, or MBA.
