The Technical Support Specialist at Danaher is tasked with delivering frontline assistance by addressing customer inquiries and challenges through technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. You will contribute to revenue growth while maintaining high customer contract retention rates and warranty conversions. Utilize critical thinking to troubleshoot instrumentation performance issues, educate our clients, and ensure the operational efficiency and data integrity of our systems. You will play a vital role in fostering customer satisfaction and loyalty.

This role is part of the Customer Care team and offers remote work flexibility. At Danaher, our vision is to continuously transform healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be integrated into the East Area and report to the Service Supervisor overseeing Field Support. If you excel in a dynamic environment and aspire to contribute to a premier service organization, this role is for you.

In this position, you will have the chance to:

  • Cultivate and expand your knowledge of the industry, the organization, the products, tools, and the team, supported by a clear Development Pathway program that fosters team growth.
  • Receive guidance from a robust leadership team, engaging in key projects to ensure successful installations that meet both customer and company standards.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modifications, and repairs on Danaher equipment.

The essential qualifications for this role include:

  • An associate degree (preferably in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field) or equivalent validated experience.
  • Willingness to travel and provide support within the designated area, including occasional travel to other locations and overnight stays.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written (as per CEFR - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

It would be advantageous if you also have prior experience in:

  • Demonstrated skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, and/or electronic medical equipment, as well as IT repair experience in laboratory settings, either as a Technical Support Specialist or Biomedical Engineer.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • A self-motivated approach, exceptional organizational skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to communicate effectively across various hierarchical levels.
