Job Title: IT Software License Management Specialist

Job Summary:

The IT Software License Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's IT software license processes, ensuring compliance with software agreements, optimizing software utilization, and minimizing licensing costs. The role includes establishing and improving software license management processes, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with customers to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. License Management Strategy: Support the development of customer organization's IT software license management strategy, establish policies, processes, and governance for managing software assets and licenses, and ensure alignment of license management processes with industry best practices and compliance regulations.
  2. Compliance & Audit: Ensure the organization is compliant with software licensing terms and conditions, coordinate internal and external software license audits, identify compliance risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate potential licensing issues.
  3. Software License Optimization: Analyze software usage and license entitlements to optimize licensing costs, work with customers to ensure cost-effective software licensing agreements, identify opportunities to improve utilization of software licenses, and recommend appropriate actions.
  4. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance the software license management process, implement automation tools and solutions to improve tracking, reporting, and optimization of licenses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes and align them with organizational goals.
  5. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of software licenses, entitlements, and deployments, develop and present reports on license usage, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities to senior management, and document policies, processes, and procedures related to software license management.
  6. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Flexera Administrators and Flexera Operators responsible for IT asset and license management and tool administration, provide training and guidance on best practices for managing software licenses and assets, and ensure the team is equipped to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
