About the Role

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is a leading provider of commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multinational Insurance Program Coordinator to join our team in Madrid, Spain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute multinational insurance programs with the assistance of proprietary tools and systems to support our rapidly growing business.
  • Act as the primary liaison to network partners in 175 countries, confirming local country support and related tax items.
  • Review underwriting submission materials to assist underwriters with quoting and binding local underliers.
  • Liaise with various teams, including Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Actuarial, to address tax and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Correspond with global customers and brokers.
  • Support the development of BHSI's multinational processes, tools, and systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial insurance experience.
  • Multinational experience.
  • In-depth understanding of policy construction, insurance company operations, regulatory requirements, rating, and policy issuance.
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business, global time zones, with teams in other regions.
  • Strong analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Must be proactive and able to work within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Competency in MS Office applications.
  • Language skills: English, native or bilingual proficiency.
